Purposes:
The aims and purposes of the Union shall be:
a.  To promote, defend, and champion the value of fatherhood
b. To unite and empower fathers and supporters to achieve the greatest wellbeing of our children and hence       future generations.
c. To achieve equal shared parenting as the accepted and recognized best outcome following separation.
d. To raise the public awareness of the value of two loving and caring parents.
 
       
  Objectives:    
 
a. To provide a forum for fathers to support, empower and inspire each other.
b. Abolish the adversarial and conflict based approach to Family Law.
c. To establish a network of UOF offices throughout New Zealand.
d. To reform all Family Law and practice to remove gender discrimination and achieve equal shared parenting.
e. To form alliances with like-minded organizations.
f.  To educate Decision-makers, Social Agencies and Communities in the importance of fatherhood.
g. To hold accountable those parties that hinder implementation of equal shared parenting.
